Who we are
This website is run by Somerset Roofing. In this notice "we" and "us" means Somerset Roofing.

What we collect
- Quote and contact forms: your name, phone number, email address, address, postcode, preferred contact method, the service you are interested in and anything you write in the message.
- Testimonials: your name, town, star rating, testimonial and, if you give it, your email address (never published).
- Technical data: the IP address and browser details sent with a form, which we use to stop spam and abuse.
- Website statistics: pages viewed, the website that sent you here, your browser type and IP address. We do not use advertising cookies, and our statistics do not use cookies.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, visit, quote for and carry out roofing work. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract.
- To pass your enquiry to the roofer who will carry out the work, so they can contact you. Enquiries are emailed to the people who handle them for us.
- To publish testimonials you have agreed we can publish (consent, which you can withdraw).
- To keep the website secure and stop spam (our legitimate interests).
- To understand which pages are useful (our legitimate interests).
We do not sell your details and we do not use them for marketing unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Only the people who need it to help you: the roofer who will carry out the work, our website and email hosting providers, and professional advisers if needed. They must keep it safe and use it only for that purpose.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Customer records for work carried out: up to 7 years, for accounts and any questions about the work.
- Website statistics: about 13 months.
- Spam and security logs: up to 6 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent for a testimonial. Contact us at hello@somersetroofing.co.uk. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commission, formerly the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We may update this notice. The date at the bottom shows when it last changed.
Our quote form
The quote form on this website is provided by Roof Lead Flow (roofleadflow.co.uk). When you send it, your details go to Roof Lead Flow, which passes your enquiry to a local roofer so they can contact you about the work and give you a quote.
